The Rev. Lucy Strandlund joined the clergy and staff of St. Paul’s in February of 2022. She previously served in the Diocese of West Texas following graduation from the Seminary of the Southwest in Austin. Lucy holds a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Spiritual Formation from the seminary as well as an undergraduate degree from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
Lucy grew up in the southeast with stints in north Florida, Alabama, and northern Virginia and finds Winston-Salem to feel a lot like home.
At St. Paul’s, she coordinates Adult Formation, including Sunday morning classes, small groups, and Adult Confirmation courses. She also directs the Lantern Initiative, which offers retreats, pilgrimages, seminars, and reflection groups intended for our individual and communal spiritual growth. She’s always happy to talk scripture, liturgy, and questions of vocation and discernment.
