Blessing of the Animals at St. Paul’s

🐾 All are welcome—pets included!
Bring your beloved pet (dogs, cats, birds, or even goldfish) for a special Blessing of the Animals at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. This joyful service is held each year near the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, celebrating God’s creation and the animals who share our lives.
📅 Date: Sunday, October 5
🕒 Time: 3:00 PM
📍 Location: The Nave (main worship space) at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 520 Summit St., Winston-Salem
What to Expect:
- A short, family-friendly service in our historic church.
- Individual blessings for each pet (fur, feathers, or fins!).
- Water bowls and pet-friendly spaces available.
- Free parking in the lot across from the church. Please enter through the Goodheart Entrance off Pilot View Street—greeters will guide you in.
The offering at the Pet Blessing will go to the Forsyth Humane Society. This organization creates a safe and loving environment for the animals in their care. They, also, support pet owners with food, medical care, resources, education and support. Each year they take in close to 3000 animals and offer them a better life. Through their Pet Food Pantry, they have distributed over 108,000 lbs. of food each year. Your donation will go to improving these animals lives.
Do I need to be a member of St. Paul’s?
Not at all! This event is for everyone in the community. Whether this is your first time visiting or you’ve come before, you and your pet are welcome here.
Come join your neighbors for a one-of-a-kind celebration of love, life, and God’s creation.
