The White Man’s Burden

Rev. Paul Robeson Ford

Senior Pastor, First Baptist Church on Highland Avenue

Founding Board Member and Chairman, Action4Equity

The White Man’s Burden is a charge to white folks who are serious about the work of anti-racism and uprooting systemic racism in this nation, and ultimately, in this world. Rudyard Kipling’s infamous 1899 poem is the starting point for exploring the legacy of the white supremacist mind and the special obligation that white people have to undo the work of their ancestors in this perilous and yet promising moment.
