Faith & Justice: A Mandate to Collaborate for the Common Good
March 25 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT
This month, we welcome:
Elder Tembila Covington
President, Ministers’ Conference of Winston-Salem & Vicinity, NC
Senior Pastor, Crossing Red Sea Ministries, Rockingham, NC
Program Director for Strengthening Neighborhoods, Neighbors for Better Neighborhoods
By collaborating and working together, we will find the best solutions and workable approaches to common problems and worthy concerns’ (Ministers’ Conference of Winston Salem & Vicinity mission).
The effective community leader builds community, especially across real and perceived differences; builds bridges; creates trusting and sustainable relationships between individuals and groups. This is what I call an ‘ever-flowing stream of justice’ (Amos 5:24).
We engage this leadership plan by promoting social, economic, and educational transformation in our communities through partnerships with churches, faith groups, schools, healthcare providers, businesses, and government agencies. This is what I call ‘doing justice’ (Micah 6:8).
